All the most important men in my life- my granddad, my dad, my brothers- are veterans, so to say I have a special place in my heart for vets is an understatement. I grew up an army brat, so a love of our country and an appreciation for our military men and women is something that was instilled in me at an early age. It's something that is so deep in my core, it's part of what makes me me. That being said, take a moment today to stop and think about how blessed we are to live in this country. Thank the Lord and thank a veteran!
It is the VETERAN, not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the VETERAN, not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the VETERAN, not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the VETERAN, not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.
It is the VETERAN, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the VETERAN, not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.
Thank you, veterans, for everything you do and everything we have because of you.
